Cathy Hargrave - Vice Chair

Cathy Hargrave is a professional pianist, a licensed Suzuki Piano Teacher Trainer in Europe and North America, an author and avid health advocate for herself and others.  

“As a 24-year cancer survivor and musician specializing in early education, I know the importance of giving everyone the opportunity for quality education and optimal health. Emotional, physical and social health are all important components to complete health.”

Rebecca Sabalones - Secretary

Rebecca Sabalones is an experienced writer/editor and currently has a career as a Lead Generation Specialist for a therapeutic and behavioral health organization.

She has a passion for helping others and has a long list of volunteer experiences internationally and within her local community.

Aaron Ng'ambi - Executive Director

Aaron Ng’ambi graduated from Brigham Young University – Hawaii, with a major in Political Science and minor in Public Administration.

He founded Talala Africa, not only as a way of him giving back to the community that raised him in Africa. But also, as an opportunity and vehicle for so many good people to be of service to others in need.

Robert Ng'ambi - Treasurer

Robert Ng’ambi is a Zambia native and currently works as an investment banking analyst at one of the best investment banks on Wall Street. In the past, I worked for Goldman Sachs in the same field of investment and as a financial analyst. 
 
“I originally came to the US for school in 2011, and obtained a degree in Accounting from BYU-I and a master’s in Information Systems from Texas A&M.”
 
“Before coming to the US, I spent two years schooling and working in South Africa, an opportunity that has made me realize the difference between the education systems between Africa and the US. This makes me grateful to be where I am, and appreciate the rare opportunity of graduating from an American institution.”

Brad Biesinger - Chairperson

Brad Biesinger grew up in Utah, and went to BYU-Hawaii for college. It was there he met and became friends with Aaron Ng’ambi, the founder of Talala Africa. He is an educator who has taught in Hawai’i, Japan, and Texas.
 
“Serving on the board of Talala Africa, has been a blessing and has helped me understand the world beyond anything imaginable. Grateful for the opportunity to be here and to help out.”

Roy Anderson - Board Member

Rory Anderson is currently the Director of Management Operations for UT Health in Houston Texas for the Physical Medicine and Rehab Department.
 
“I have been in healthcare operations for 7+ years. Prior to my healthcare experience, I worked in the United States Senate as a legislative correspondent. I have a Masters Degrees in Healthcare Administration and Business Administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham as well as a Bachelors in Economics from Southern Utah University. Also, I spent two years in Malawi, Zambia, and Zimbabwe for a church mission, and really fell in love with the people in Africa.” 
 
“It is a great honor for me to be a board member of Talala Africa, and always here to serve.”
